9th Oxford Bone Infection Conference (OBIC)
8 December 2020
In light of the ongoing restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic, the OBIC organising committee, together with Hartley Taylor, have decided to hold a one-day virtual conference on the 8th December with a further face-to-face meeting in 2021.
The virtual conference will be free to attend and will be hosted on professional platform run by PSA Audio Visual Limited. The platform allows for networking in either open or closed groups, and will include the facility to meet with industry representatives and the speakers.
Authors who submitted abstracts for the live conference that was cancelled earlier this year will be invited to submit a poster which will be displayed electronically during the conference. There will be a live presentation and prize for the best abstract.
Please encourage your colleagues and friends in orthopaedics, plastic surgery and the infection specialties to register. You are advised to request study leave to enable you to attend the meeting without interruption as a result of clinical obligations.
OBIC is organised by medical and surgical staff currently working at the Oxford Bone Infection Unit, and Hartley Taylor Medical Communications Ltd.
The conference will offer you a full virtual experience and the opportunity to take part in every aspect including:
- Watch speaker presentations
- Ask questions and join in discussions
- Visit the virtual exhibition stands
- Network with colleagues and sponsors during the breaks
- Give feedback (via a separate link sent by email following the event)
Full instructions will be posted on the Meeting Room page of this website and will also follow by email so please keep an eye out as the date approaches.
